Administrative Core

To attain the overall scientific goal of the BRC and to insure adherence to the stated Specific Aims, the Administrative Core will put in place an infrastructure that will facilitate the completion of the specific research aims of each project and cores and one that will greatly enhance the success of the proposed training program and pilot research program.

The Administrative Core will consist of the Center Director, William Cefalu, M.D., a half time Administrative Assistant, Dr. Steven Redmann, an expert in statistical design and analysis, and Dr. Brantley, who is currently the Director of the Division of Education at Pennington and who will lead the efforts for the training and development, and Dr. Ilya Raskin, the Associate Director of the Center, who will lead the Rutgers University component and coordinate botanical and phytochemical functions of the Center.

Dr. Cefalu is responsible for all aspects of the program project. Dr. Cefalu will handle the day-to-day administration of the program with the assistance of the Administrative Assistant. Monthly meetings between the Project Director and the other investigators in the program will be coordinated through the Administrative Core.
