The Administrative Core is dedicated to increasing the critical mass of investigators engaged in botanical research. To achieve this mission, the core provides training, career development, pilot project funding, and opportunities for botanical research to be presented both to colleges and the public. The Administrative Core is also provides statistical support and fiscal oversight to all projects and cores.
About the Administrative Core The primary function of the Administrative Core is to ensure attainment of the overall goals of our Botanical Research Center by adhering to our stated Specific Aims.
Career Development and Training The Administrative Core funds seven post-doctoral researcher positions through the NIH-NCCAM Traning Grant, "Botanical Approaches to Combat Metabolic Syndrome."
Funding Opportunities Each year the Administrative Core funds up to eight pilot research studies in an effort to increase the critical mass of investigators addressing botanical research.
